Falkville falls in second round to top-ranked Pisgah

The Falkville Blue Devils’ season ended with a 42-14 road loss at top-ranked Pisgah last Friday.
Falkville took a 6-0 lead when Landon Powers con-nected with Denver Comstock on an 83-yard touchdown pass early in the first quarter.
Pisgah scored 20 consecutive points to take a 20-6 lead in the second quarter.
Powers scored on a 23-yard run to cut into the Pisgah lead. After the two-point conversion run by Powers, the Blue Devils trailed 20-14. Pisgah added another touchdown and two-point conversion to take a 28-14 lead into halftime. The Eagles scored two secondhalf touchdowns to make the final score 42-14.
Powers finished with 131 yards passing and 151 yards rushing to lead the Blue Devils offense. Comstock had 83 yards receiving and 63 yards rushing, while Eli Harris added 57 yards rushing.
