Faye Callahan Bowles

Hartselle Funeral services for Faye Callahan Bowles, 95, were held Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024, at 2 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Bates and Bro. Michael Speegle officiating. Burial will be in New Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Bowles died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Dec. 22, 1929, in Morgan County to Charlie Ishmael and Tressie Lee (Maples) Callahan. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of New Center Baptist Church. She loved canning, gardening, and spending time with her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph E. Bowles, and two brothers, Harold and James Callahan.

Survivors include her sister, Betty C. Lawrence (Donnie); nephews, Jerry Callahan (Debbie) and Chuck Callahan (Vanessa); nieces, Kathy Speegle (Johnny), Dewanna Carpenter (Greg), Angela Stover (Ed), and Courtney Whisenant (Kerrick); great-nephews, Matthew Johnson, Michael Speegle (Alexis), and Eric Callahan (Holly); and great-nieces, Aleah Patterson (Mack), Chloe Carpenter, Marley Carpenter, Lindsey Bogle (Wade), Amanda Callahan, and Justine Callahan.
