Patriots and Lady Hawks split tourney games

Last week, the Brewer Patriots and Danville Lady Hawks split two games in Christmas tournaments. The Patriots defeated Covenant Christian, while the Lady Hawks defeated Belgreen.
Brewer 49, Covenant Christian 32 Cason Oden finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead Brewer to a 49-32 win over Covenant Christian. Kaden Steadham had 13 points, eight rebounds and five steals, while Austyn Holmes added 11.
Brooks 44, Brewer 42 Jackson Dunn scored 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and made two steals in the team’s 44-42 loss to Brooks in the opening round of the Bracy Invitational last Thursday. Cason Oden added 14 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists.
Danville 55, Oneonta 50 Ben Ellenburg finished with 14 points in the Hawks’ 55-50 win over Oneonta in the West Point Classic opening round last Thursday. Ty Bailey had 12 and Jace Glenn added 11.

Adily Alberti added 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Addison Prater had 8 points.
Muscle Shoals 67, Danville 56 Alberti finished with 23 points and five steals in Danville’s 67-56 loss to 6A Muscle Shoals. Prater added 14 and five rebounds. Danville 56, Colbert County 18 Prater finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Danville to a 56-18 win over Colbert County. Alberti added 15 points and five rebounds.
