Happy New Year from the William Bradford Huie Library of Hartselle! We hope you had a great holiday season. We are looking forward to 2025. It is going to be a terrific year at library!
We are excited about the progress of the new library. Although we are still in the design phase of the project, it is exciting to see the plans starting to come together. In case you haven’t heard, the new library will be located where the Hartselle Medical Center was located. The property was donated to the City of Hartselle by Huntsville Hospital Board of Directors. If you have not seen the concept drawing for the new library, I encourage you to stop by the library or City of Hartselle Municipal Building and view them.
We have some great programming coming this year. We will kick off the year on Jan. 6 at 5 p.m. with Bobby the Balloon Guy. We welcomed Bobby during our Summer Reading Program and are delighted to have him back! This time he will perform his interactive Balloon Show to include a combination of comedy, music, magic and, of course, balloons! Parents, this will be a great way to end our school break for the holidays.
I also want to encourage you to stop by the library and see what we have to offer you. In addition to books, audiobooks, and DVDs, we have games for the Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox One available for checkout. We offer children and adult programming, test proctoring, free Wi-Fi, public access computers and more.
We hope to see you soon!
