Prep round up: County schools each pick up wins

Priceville 7, New Hope 5
Colman Gann had a hit and three RBIs in the Bulldogs’ 7-5 win over New Hope. Jack Eubanks added a hit and two RBIs. Eubanks earned the win with 1.1 innings of scoreless relief. Ethan Sherwood picked up the save with a scoreless seventh.
New Hope 12, Priceville 6
Priceville fell 12-6 on the road at New Hope last Thursday. JD Pflueger had a hit, three runs scored and two RBIs in the loss. Tyde Borden had two hits. Aiden Hill took the loss after allowing five runs on five hits in 1.1 innings.
Shelby County 6, Priceville 2
JD Pflueger singled and had an RBI in the Bulldogs’ 6-2 loss to Shelby County last Friday. Jack Eubanks added a hit and a run scored. Borden took the loss after allowing four runs on a hit in two innings..
Orange Beach 5, Priceville 2
Pflueger and Borden each had two hits in Priceville’s 5-2 loss to Orange Beach. Tatum Sivley had an RBI. Gann took the loss after allowing two runs on five hits in four innings.
Falkville 18, Columbia 5:
Bryant Owens had a hit, two RBIs and a run scored to lead Falkville to an 18-5 win over Columbia. Clay Fitzgerald added two hits and an RBI and scored three runs. Briley Tomlin added a hit and two RBIs while scoring three runs.
West End 16, Falkville 6
Falkville fell 16-6 on the road at West End last Saturday. Bryant Owens finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Denver Comstock added two RBIs. Payton Davis took the loss after allowing eight runs on three hits in 2/3 of an inning.
Danville 10, Tharptown 0
Noah Try pitched a fiveinning shutout, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out six, to lead Danville to a 10-0 win over Tharptown. Reece Cowart had two hits, including a double, and three RBIs, while Sawyer Tapscott had two hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs. Cody Barber had an RBI double.
Brewer 15, JB Pennington 0
Cole Drinkard had two hits and three RBIs to lead Brewer to a 15-0 win over JB Pennington last Friday. Hunter Knighten and Logan Paseur each had two hits and two RBIs, while Dayton Wilson and Bradyn Watkins each added two hits and one RBI. Paseur pitched five scoreless innings to get the win, allowing one hit with six strikeouts.
Douglas 13, Brewer 4 Matthew Matkin had a hit, an RBI and a run scored in the Patriots’ 13-4 loss to Douglas. Jack Carnell finished with two hits. Dane Homan took the loss after allowing five runs in 1/3 of an inning.
Whitesburg Christian 14, Brewer 3 Knighten finished 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI in their 14-3 loss to Whitesburg Christian. Drinkard singled and drove in a run. Drinkard took to the loss after allowing seven runs on six hits, while striking out four in five innings.
