Mattie Sue May

Priceville A funeral service for Miss Mattie Sue May, 85, was held Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jeff Griffis officiating. Burial was in New Friendship Baptist Church cemetery. Miss May was born January 9, 1940, in Morgan County to James Earl May and Edna Leona Murphy May. She died on Friday, March 7, 2025, at her home. Miss May was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Priceville. She retired from Prestolite in Decatur, and enjoyed working, cutting grass and working in the yard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Diana May; and brothers, Joe May, Larry May, and Troy May. Survivors include two brothers: James May (Nadine) and Jerry May (Debbie); three sisters, Marvilene Smith, Doris Anders and Joyce May. Pallbearers were Dusty May, Kenneth May, Rex Anders, and Travise Smith.
