A funeral service for Mavis Hale, 99, of Collierville, TN (Formerly of Alabama) was held Monday, March 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Sutton officiating. Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery. Mrs. Hale died on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Jordan River. She was born September 15, 1925, in Cullman, AL to Oliver Fredricks Burks and Pearl Irene Tilley Burks. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Hale; two brothers, Haden Burks and his wife, Martha and Frank Burks and his wife Bonnie; and her great Granddaughter, Lyla Long. Survivors include her daughter, Lyda (Wayne) Long; and her son, Robby Hale (Mary Ann). Mavis was a member of Somerville Road Church of Christ for 70 Years. She was very active in her church and community. She was a devout Christian who loved her Lord. She also loved to read.
