Prep roundup: Priceville tops Brewer to reach regional tournament

Priceville advanced to the North Regional softball tournament on Tuesday with a 6-4 win over Brewer in the Class 5A, Area 16 tournament.

The Bulldogs scored two runs in the final inning courtesy of a two-RBI single from Kelsey Green.

Green finished with three hits and four RBIs to lead Priceville. Taylor Pellam led Brewer with two hits and two RBIs.

Hartselle 12, Athens 7: Hartselle overcame a 6-0 deficit on Tuesday to pull out a win.

Zoe Hitt had three hits, while Morgan Osborn had two hits and three RBIs. Hat Peterson hit a three-run home run.

Jaicey Harty led Athens with three hits.

Brewer 17, East Limestone 13: Brewer outlasted East Limestone in a marathon that went 13 innings.

Taylor Pellam had five hits, two RBIs and scored three runs, while Abby Summerford drove in four runs on two hits, including a home run.

Grace Bielat and Miami Wilcox led East Limestone with four hits and two RBIs each.

Hartselle 17, Muscle Shoals 10: Hatsumi Peterson blasted a home run and finished with two hits and four RBIs to lead Hartselle.

Katie Norgard had two hits, three RBIs and scored three runs. Kaelin Perdue hit a three-run home run.

Decatur Heritage 4, Falkville 0: Marissa Adams pitched a shutout win for the Eagles, allowing three hits and no runs with five strikeouts in seven innings.

Adams also had two hits and two RBIs, while Allie Tidwell added two hits and an RBI.

Hope McClanahan, Hannah Summerford and Peyton Holloway each had a hit for Falkville.
