New restaurant to bring family-friendly game day atmosphere to downtown Hartselle
A new game day destination is coming to downtown Hartselle this fall, just in time for football season.
Jefferson’s, a family sports restaurant, is expected to open in early September at 200 Main St., in the former Moe’s BBQ building. The location will be the seventh owned by Robby Coggin and Jake Lund in the Tennessee Valley.
The restaurant will feature wings, tenders, oysters and burgers, along with a full bar and a “TV wall” so patrons can catch a variety of games. Catering will be available both in-house and off-site.
Unlike other Jefferson’s locations, the Hartselle restaurant will include an arcade area for children, complete with a prize system operated by charge cards that collect points.
“We want parents to be able to enjoy the game while the kids have fun,” Coggin said.
The building’s loft area will also remain open and will serve as a party room. Lund said the space will be available free of charge for gatherings, such as post-game celebrations or family events, as long as food is purchased from the restaurant.
“We are excited to support local teams,” Lund said, add-ing they are always interested in community partnerships.
Coggin and Lund have a history of collaborating with local sports teams at their other Jefferson’s locations and plan to do the same in Hartselle.
