Viola Bell Ausban

Viola Bell Ausban, born January 29, 1932, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday morning, May 3, 2025. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Carl Hilliard Ausban; her mother Mary Ellen Wilson Estes; her stepfather, John Calvin Estes; her biological father James Charlie Wedding; her halfsister, Judith (Judy) Wedding; and her first great-granddaughter, Lydia Stephens. She is survived by her four children, Ginger Faye Ausban (Albert Gordon Hollingsworth), Randy Carl Ausban, Connie Gay Ausban Warren (Martin Ray Warren) and Kathy Joy Ausban Herring (William Clark Herring); eleven grandchildren, Danny Ross Stephens (Sabrina), Michael Scott Stephens (Danielle), Dana Ausban, Stephenie Ausban Harper, Loran Ashly Povelites Parker, Devin Clark Herring, Kylie Noelle Herring, Shawn Carlton Warren, Preston Ray Warren, Caitlin Nicole Warren, and Elijah Cade Herring; eleven great-grandchildren, Dillion Shane Eady, Shyla Dawn Harper, Tyler Gage Harper, Jade McKenzie Eady, Sophia Stephens, Anna Nicole Woodie, Chase Stephens, Joseph Ross Stephens, Matthew Lee Stephens, Levi Vencent Parker and Lawson Thomas Parker; three great-great-grandchildren, William Ace Stephens, Declan Kade Eady and a little girl soon to arrive.
Viola was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Danville, Ala. where she will be fondly remembered for her infectious smile, her sense of humor, and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. She was a retired business owner, talented artist and an avid gardener. She once stated that when we all arrive in heaven to look for her in the Lord’s garden because that’s where she will be. A funeral service was held at Peck Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on May 8. She was laid to rest next to her beloved Carl in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixon, Tenn.
