Funeral for Willis C. Lott, 89, of Hartselle was Saturday, May 15, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Alred officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Lott died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born May 20, 1914, in Morgan County to James Walter Lott and Eliza J. Maze Lott. He was a farmer. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mr. Lott was preceded in death by one brother, Clifton Lott; and four sisters, Hattie Armstrong, Nollie Eubanks, Ada Williams and Eva Murphy.
He is survived by his wife, Evaughan Murphy Lott of Hartselle; one son, Charles W. Lott and wife Patricia of Hartselle; one daughter, Ella Jean Williamson of Greensboro, N.C.; one grandchild, Melissa Phillips, and two great grandchildren, Danielle and Chase Overton.
Pallbearers were Michael Phillips, Joe Murphy, Britt Murphy, Pee Wee Murphy, Wayne Tapscott and Marlon Tapscott.
