Elisha C. "Dick" Travis

A military graveside service for Elisha C. "Dick" Travis, Jr., 76, of Decatur was Friday, May 28, at 2 p.m. at Valhermoso Springs Cemetery with Sandra Locke Godbey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Travis died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at his residence. He was born March 12, 1927, in Morgan County to Elisha C. Travis Sr. and Betsy Jennings Travis. He was a retired General Electric Security Guard. He was a Baptist and a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II and the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Travis of Decatur; four sons, Roger Travis, David Travis, Phillip Travis and Clint Travis, all of Texas; one daughter, Gidget Goodman of Florence; nine grandchildren;' and several great grandchildren.
