Funeral for Thelma Smith Steel, 90, of Danville was Friday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Francis Proctor and Mac Carter officiating.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Steel died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was a member of Penn Church of God and was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Joseph Steel.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Ray Steel of Danville and Ronald Steel and wife JoAnn, also of Danville; a brother, Therman Smith and wife Opal of Hartselle; four grandchildren, Tim Steel, Jordan Steel, Kim Greenhaw and Kristi Steel; and a great-grandson, Bryson Brown.
Family members and friends were pallbearers.
