Arin Eddy 1A-5A individual winner

Hartselle High School senior Arin Eddy won low medalist honors for the second straight year at the Class 1A-5A State Golf Tournament in Muscle Shoals on May 13-14.

She shot a 72 on Monday and followed on Tuesday with the same score for 144 over 36 holes.

Elmore County’s Ashton Maddeloni was four shots back at 148.

However, her performance was not enough to put Hartselle’s team in the winning circle for the fifth year in a row. The Lady Tigers (527) finished fourth behind Muscle Shoals (502), Westbrook Christian and Alexandria.

Beth Ann Compton, Eddy’s teammate, finished eighth with a 36-hole score of 182. Lunden Turner came in 26th out of 28 golfers with a 36-hole total of 221.
