Weekend shooting injures one

By Staff Reports

A shooting near Hartselle this past Sunday left one injured, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.

Agents responded to and secured the scene in the 100 block of Forest Chapel Road around 11 a.m. Sunday.

The injured subject was transported from the scene to Huntsville Hospital by helicopter, according to MCSO spokesperson Mike Swafford. Officers detained another person at the scene.

The shooting is still under investigation.
