Local student seeing donations
Editor,
My name is Kaitlynn Harris. I am 10 years old and I have recently been selected to participate in the National Discovery Network Convention.
Casting and theatrical agents and scouts who regularly search for and discover new talents and place them in local and national markets will be attending. I am trying to raise the fee to attend the convention.
The experience gained in this environment will build my confidence and self-esteem. The convention will also allow me to share the word of Jesus Christ with about 500 children, ages 6 months to 17 years.
Always let Jesus Christ be the main part of your dreams because He will lead you in the right direction.
My convention is May 29-June 1 in Panama City Beach, Fla., at the Holiday Inn Beach Resort. The fee for the convention is $345. I need to have all of my money in by April 8.
If you would like to give a donation, please make checks payable to the National Discovery Network, Inc. and mail it to my parents at this address: William and Marty Harris c/o Kaitlynn, 4275 Barkley Bridge Road, Hartselle, AL 35640. You can also call them at 784-6553.
My parents will mail all of the checks at one time. This donation is tax deductible.
If you have any extra Christian literature for children that I can pass out, please let my family know. I pass out Daily Bread books to my friends and they really like them.
