Funeral for John Griffith Jr., 71, of Hartselle was Friday, April 9, 2004, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clyde Goodlett officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Griffith died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at his residence. He was born April 26, 1932, in Morgan County to John A. Griffith and Mary Elizabeth Williams Griffith. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hartselle. He was retired from Wolverine Tube as a machine operator. Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Griffith; one brother, Ed Griffith; and four sisters, Mildred Wilborn, Katherine Hodges, Ruth Bennett and Louise Waddell.
He is survived by three sons, Oscar Griffith of Danville, Mike Griffith of Falkville and Ricky Griffith of Cullman; three daughters, Charlotte McReath of Hartselle, Shelia Hood of Moulton and Becky Pigg of Vinemont; one brother, Charles Griffith; three sisters, Geneva Griffith, Jessie Hill and Dorothy Partain; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Griffith, Dustin Griffith, Nick Griffith, Lori Knox, Ricky Griffith, Brian McReath, Michael Knox and Dewayne Sullins.
