Lady Tigers fall to Grissom at Bob Jones

The Hartselle Lady Tigers finished eighth out of 56 teams at the Bob Jones Invitational in Madison.
Hartselle 12, Hendersonville, Tenn. 1
Sabrina Roberts led the way with a two-hitter on the mound in addition to recording four hits at the plate.
Roberts walked one and struck out five while allowing no earned runs in seven innings.
Roberts went 4-for-5 at the plate with one RBI while JJ Lawrimore, Whitley Collins and Rachel Davidson had two hits each. Lawrimore drove in a run while Collins scored twice and Davidson scored once. Sarah Whitlow had one hit, scored once and drove in two runs. Elizabeth Stejskel had a hit, a run scored and one RBI.
Hartselle 7, Lewis County, Tenn. 2
JJ Lawrimore threw five innings to pick up the win. Lawrimore allowed two runs on seven hits and struck out two.
Elizabeth Stejskel struck out two batters in one inning of relief.
Sabrina Roberts and Sarah McNutt had two hits each, Roberts scored twice while McNutt scored once and had one RBI.
Rachel Davidson, Lawrimore and Stejskel all had one hit, scored once and collected one RBI. Whitley Collins has one hit, scored once and drove in two.
Hartselle 1, Decatur 0
Sabrina Roberts threw a complete game shutout while allowing only two hits. Roberts walked one and struck out seven.
JJ Lawrimore had two hits while Roberts had one hit and the games only RBI. Ashley Wiseheart had a double for the Lady Tigers.
Hartselle 8, Hume-Fogg 1
JJ Lawrimore improved to 10-3 on the mound by scattering nine hits and striking out five.
Anna Byrd went 3-for-4, including a triple, with two runs scored and two RBIs. Ashley Wiseheart went 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Whitley Collins had two hits including a double while scoring once and driving in one run.
Grissom 2, Hartselle 0
Sabrina Roberts slipped to 12-4 as the Lady Tigers fell to eventual tourney champion Grissom.
Roberts struck out nine and walked none while allowing only three hits.
Roberts also collected the only Lady Tiger hit.
