Funeral for Avis Ann Russell, 91, of Orlando, Fla. (formerly of Morgan County) was Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 5 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Russell died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at her residence. She was born July 24, 1914, in Morgan County to William Monroe Compton and Ellen Elizabeth Galbreth Compton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Werner Edward Russell.
She is survived by a son, Bill Russell of Homosassa, Fla.; and a daughter, Wanda Russell of Orlando, Fla.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
