Funeral for Charles Lee James, 76, of Hartselle, was Sunday, October 4, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Thompson and Mason Booth officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. James died Friday, October 2, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born October 29, 1932, in Morgan County to Howard Lee James and Mable Gretchen Sandlin James. He was retired from Amoco Chemical Company and was a member of Neel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Maleigh James.
He is survived by his wife, Polly James of Hartselle; a son, Ken James and wife Julie of Hartselle; a daughter, Jill Wallace and husband Truman of Hartselle; a brother, Edward James of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Helen Ikner of Decatur and Freda Ikner of Hartselle; six grandchildren, Ethan, Garrett, Lacey and Mikayla James and Kirby and Kaitlin Wallace.
Grandsons and nephews were pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Buey Long, Bill Cagle and Johnny Sharp.
