Funeral for Billy Neal Pope, 67, of Hartselle was Fri., April 16, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dennis Shadix officiating.
Burial was in Corinth Cemetery.
Mr. Pope died Tue., April 13, 2010, at his residence. He was born Aug. 24, 1942, in Lawrence County to Hubert Melvin Pope and Lillie Mae Pope. He was a Vietnam veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Tyrone Pope and Brandon Pope; a brother, Bobby Pope; and three sisters, Opal Moeller, Merle Heard and Sandra Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Maze Pope of Hartselle; a son, Billy Neal Pope Jr. and wife Tammy; a brother, Edward Pope of Hamilton; two sisters, Janice Williams and husband Jerry of Falkville and Geraldine Soldinger of Arizona; five grandchildren, David and Maguire Pope, Amy and Steven Pope and Kristin Sawyer; and two great-grandchildren, Lavin Ty and Brettlee Savannah Riner.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Rombokas and Jerry Carter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley or American Cancer Society.
