Cozene Day Johnston

Funeral for Cozene Day Johnston, 83, of Somerville was Sunday, June 26, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vandon Windsor and Bro. Lavon Wynn officiating.

Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnston died Friday, June 24, 2011, at her residence. She was born Janaury 30, 1928, in Morgan County to Zelma Clarence Day and Dora May Turney Day. She was a member of the Florette Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James Keith Johnston and an infant son; and two sisters, Martha Lee Day Lawrence and Mae Frances Lyle Gorham.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Day Johnston and wife Susan of Somerville and Ernie Kaman Johnston and wife Beth of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Glenna Cozene Winton and husband Vaughn of Somerville; and 11 grandchildren, Erby Shawn Johnston, Erika Shay Kilgore and husband Tim, Jennifer Marron and husband Michael, Jessica Ruth Hays and husband Sam, Jodie Kaman Johnston, Scarlett Michelle Kirby and husband Alan, Christopher Vaughn Winton and wife Hope, Patrick Glenn Winton and wife Halley, Shelley Maze Kirby and hsuband Cary, Panda Nicole Smith and husband Nicolas and Stacey Maze Lovette and husband Rodrick.

Pallbearers were Tim Kilgore, Nicolas Smith, Glenn Winton, Chris Winton, Alan Kirby, Cary Kirby and Rod Lovette.
