Diane Carpenter

A graveside service for Diane Carpenter, 53, of Hartselle will be Tuesday, June 28, at 1 p.m. at Clardy Family Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Darby officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carpenter died Saturday, June 25, 2011, at her residence. She was born June 20, 1958, in Colbert County to Clarence Wiley Green Sr. and Alma Lee Kilpatric-Johnson. She loved cactus, cooking and her dogs and also had a love for Native American items. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifton Keith Carpenter; and a nephew, Greg Murray.

She is survived by a boyfriend, Rondall Johnson; three daughters, Mary Beth Gay and husband Larry of Hillsboro, Kenja Michelle “Shelly” Lyons and husband Perry of Huntsville and Kayla Dianne Terry and husband Jason of Decatur; a stepson, Jeremy Carpenter of Cleveland; a stepdaughter, Brandy Carpenter of Cleveland; two brothers, Clarence “Bud” Green Jr. of Cotaco and Jerome Green of Russellville; two sisters, Peggy Aday and husband Billy of Florence and Hannah Lee and husband Danny of Hartselle; seven grandchildren, Jessica Beth Gay, Stephanie Paige Gay, J.T. Lockett, Hailey Nycole Gay, Kaleigh Grace Lockett, Christa Raine Terry and Benjamin Owen Terry; 11 nieces and nephews; 14 great-nieces and nephews; and a great-great-nephew.

Pallbearers will be Perry Lyons, Jason Terry, Larry Gay, Michael Goodwin and Austin Roden.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Lee and Corey Roden.
