Willie W. Bishop

Funeral for Willie W. Bishop, 88, of Somerville will be Friday, July 1, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral  Home with the Rev. Fred Wilks officiating.

Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bishop died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at her residence. She was born June 9, 1923, in Tennessee to Ralph H. Johnson and Dolly Talley Johnson. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Bishop and a sister, Kathleen Blakey.

She is survived by a son, James Ralph Bishop and wife Teresa; two daughters, Cindy Nunnelley and husband Ricky and Vickie Turner and husband Sonny; three sisters, Helen Smith, Virginia Finegan and Marilyn Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Stephanie Bishop, Jennifer Reid and Deanna Brown; and five great-grandchildren.
