Audrey Mae Harvel

Funeral for Audrey Mae Harvel, 87, of Hartselle will be Fri., Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewitt Crowe officiating.

Visitation will be Thur., Sept. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Mrs. Harvel died Mon., Aug. 29, 2011, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Feb. 1, 1924, in Tennessee to Luther Benton and Ola Lillie Storey Attkisson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. “Jack” Harvel Sr.; her parents; two sons, Jerry W. “Buck” and John Patrick Henry Harvel; and a daughter, Judy Harvel Williams.

She is survived by two sons, Paul W. Harvel Jr. and wife Linda and Royce V. “Buzzy” Harvel, both of Hartselle; two daughters, Linda Benfield and husband James of Madison and Martie Maddox and husband  Robert “Bob” of San Antonio, Tex.; a brother, Ross Attkisson of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Sue Boyett Trudeau of Paris, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Buzzy Harvel, Eddie Livingston, Millard Mason, Dale Mason, Sam Steele and Ronnie Mason.
