Band directors honored

Family members of Randall Key and Jeff Vaughn, as well as Hartselle Band Booster members past and present, pitched in and surprised these two men on March 18 at the monthly band booster meeting with a plaque stating that they would be honored on the Hartselle Alumni Association Donor Wall at the new high school. Key is the HHS band director and serves as the director of bands for Hartselle City Schools. He is a 1989 HHS graduate. Vaughn retired as HJHS band director after serving 31 years. He currently teaches beginning band at Decatur Christian Heritage School and is on staff with Hartselle City Schools as an assistant to the junior high and high school bands. They are greatly appreciated for their hard work and dedication to the students.
