Brewer, Priceville, and Falkville all pick up wins in the final week of the regular season

Brewer, Falkville, and Priceville picked up wins during the final week of the regular season. The wins prepared the teams for Area tournaments which began on Monday.

Priceville 69, Ardmore 41
The Lady Bulldogs (21-6) came away with a 69-41 win over Ardmore in their final tune-up before area tournament play begins. Priceville dominated the game from the tip, leading 24-10 after the first quarter and 42-22 at halftime.

Leslie Hames led four Priceville players in double figures with 15 points. Lauren Hames had 14 points for the Bulldogs, while Zoey Benson added 12 points and eight rebounds. Abby Langlois scored 10 points.

Ashlyn Mullins scored 11 points to lead Ardmore.

Priceville 59, Danville 18
Priceville dominated their county rival in a 59-18 win over Danville. The Lady Bulldogs led 17-8 after the first quarter and 35-12 at the half.

Zoey Benson led Priceville with 14 points. Lauren Hames had 10, and Natalie Cartee added eight. Gracin Prater had five assists and five steals.

Alyssa Brooks led Danville with 13 points.

Good Hope 58, Priceville 41
No. 6 Priceville fell 58-41 to No. 2 Good Hope in a battle of top 10 ranked teams in Class 4A. In the third quarter, the Lady Raiders outscored the Lady Bulldogs 18-6 to break open a tight game that Good Hope led 23-22 at the half.

Lauren Hames scored 13 points to lead Priceville (19-6). Leslie Hames and Lillyan Bloodworth each finished with seven points. Zoey Benson had nine rebounds to go with her four points.

Falkville 60, Vinemont 54
Falkville closed out the regular season with a 60-54 win over Vinemont. The Lady Blue Devils outscored the Lady Eagles 15-10 in the fourth quarter to get the win.

Abbey Grace Tomlin finished with 20 points, eight rebounds, and four steals to lead Falkville. Elli Lorance had 11 points, while. Ellie Cate Hill finished with 10 points, nine steals, and seven rebounds.

Whitney Quick scored 17 points to lead Vinemont.

Falkville 46, Whitesburg Christian 20
The Lady Blue Devils picked up their second win of the week in a 46-20 victory over Whitesburg Christian. Falkville, who led 16-15 at halftime, outscored the Lady Warriors 30-5 in the second half.

Liza Wallace had 15 points and six rebounds to lead Falkville. Abbey Grace Tomlin finished with eight points, seven steals, and five rebounds.

Emma Terry scored seven points for Whitesburg Christian.

Falkville 66, St. Bernard 24
Falkville dominated the game from outside the three-point line in their 66-24 win over St. Bernard. The Lady Blue Devils 14 three-pointers in the victory.

Ellie Cate Hill scored 21 points while hitting five three-pointers. Elli Lorance had 16 points while hitting four three-pointers.

Brewer 47, Brindlee Mountain 41
Brewer closed out the regular season with a come-from-behind 47-41 win over Brindlee Mountain last Thursday. The Lady Patriots outscored the Lady Lions 29-15 in the second half after trailing 26-18 at the half.

Hope West led Brewer (10-18) with 22 points and six rebounds. Chloe Romine added nine points, while Lilly Yancy scored seven.

Chantley Kirkland had 16 points for Brindlee Mountain.

Rogers 55, Brewer 32
Brewer fell 55-32 to 4A power Rogers last Tuesday. The Lady Patriots trailed 31-14 at halftime and 45-22 after three quarters.

Hope West and Gracie Spivey each had nine points to lead Brewer.

Sadee Gray led Rogers with 13 points.

Brewer 43, Fairview 17
The Lady Patriots picked up their first area win of the season with a 43-17 win over Fairview. Brewer broke open a close game by outscoring the Lady Aggies 15-2 in the second quarter to take a 27-12 lead into halftime.

Hope West’s double-double, 17 points and 13 rebounds led the Lady Patriots. Chloe Romine finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.
