Girls Basketball: Danville advances to sub-regional
The Danville Lady Hawks advanced to the 3A sub-regional with a runner-up finish to Phil Campbell in the 3A Area 15 tournament. The Lady Hawks fell to Phil Campbell 52-31 in the championship game. They advanced to the finals with a 46-39 win over Colbert Co.
Danville played at Lauderdale Co. on Monday night.
Falkville and Brewer both lost in the first round of their area tournaments.
The Lady Blue Devils fell to Holly Pond 30-26 in a tightly contested contest.
The Lady Patriots saw their season end with a 53-45 loss to Lawrence Co. Brewer led 31-29 heading into the final quarter but couldn’t hold on for the win.
Lilly Yancey finished with 14 points to lead Brewer, while Jacey Atkinson had nine.
