Leroy Beard

Hartselle A funeral service for Leroy Beard, 78 of Hartselle was held Monday, January 20, 2025, at 1:30PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Ashley officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery. Mr. Beard was born November 12, 1946, in Morgan County to Chester Beard and Estie Mae Roy Beard. He passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents. Leroy was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. He retired from Solutia after 36 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a lifelong resident of Hartselle. Leroy never met a stranger. He loved spending time with his family and friends at Beard Stables, raising pleasure horses for many years, and loved being outdoors. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Beard; sons, Mac Beard (Becky) and Russ Beard (Susan); daughter, Leigh Ann Beard; brother, Paul Beard (Joyce); several nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Johnny Perkins and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
