    Weddings

    Blankenship, Bressette wed
    Cassandra Dee Blankenship and Christopher Lee Bressett, both of Hartselle, were wed Saturday, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m. at Annabella at Cedar Glenn with Phil Clanton officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Thomas Grantland and Doris Marie Blankenship of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Bernard L. and Edwina Bressette of Hartselle and Cindy Bressette of Lacey’s Spring.
    The wedding was held on the grounds of Annabella. A bridge adorned with Gerber daisies and greenery complimented the ceremony area where white columns with a large arrangement of white roses and fresh textured greenery were featured.
    A memorial table held a vase of white roses placed in honor of the couple’s late grandparents.
    The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an elegant satin strapless gown with an ornately beaded and embroidered bodice, an overlapping satin band at the neckline, and a rounded waistline. The smooth A-line skirt featured a five-pleated back and a band of bugle beads and pearls at the elegant hemline. Her bouquet featured green hydrangeas with white roses.
    Karen Tidwell of Decatur, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.
    Bridal attendants were Melanie Wright and Keri Bressette, both of Hartselle. They wore strapless grape Raylia dresses and carried bouquets of green hydrangeas with cream Gerber daisies.
    The groom’s father was best man.
    Groomsmen were Charles Wright of Hartselle and Grant Tidwell of Decatur.
    Music was provided by the Lyric Ensemble String Quartet of Decatur, and Laura Phillips and Scott Willis, both of Decatur.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Annabella.
    The bride’s table featured a simple three-tier vanilla chiffon cake with French butter cream icing, adorned with a dotted Swiss design.
    The groom’s table featured a German chocolate cake.
    Kim Jeffreys, Angela Breuer, Jamie Breuer and Johnna Black assisted with the reception.
    Lauren Maples of Hartselle attended the bride’s book.
    The couple honeymooned in Myrtle Beach, S.C. They reside in Decatur.
    A rehearsal party hosted by the groom’s parents was held Sept. 22 at Shogun in Huntsville.
    The couple was honored with several prenuptial events, including:
    Cancilla, Bass exchange vows
    Renee Marie Cancilla of Hartselle and Jeffrey Philip Bass of Auburn were wed Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at 3 p.m. at Hartselle Christian Church with Pastor Jimmy Allen officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Thomas Cancilla of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Scott Hinderer of Auburn and Mr. Steven Gene Bass of Andalusia.
    The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of diamond white Duchess satin. The strapless gown was fashioned with an intricate pattern of hand beading at the bust line and molded bodice. The fitted princess waistline fell to inverted boxed pleats, each adorned with a miniature beaded motif and flared to a ball gown skirt.
    Michele Cancilla of Hartselle, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
    Bridal attendants were Kelly Bass, Allyson Brown, Emily Fisher, Barkley Aycock Franklin, T.J. Chandler Preuitt, Shannon Riley, Lauren Sulcer and Ashley Brown Williams.
    Meredith Bass was flower girl. Hunter Bass and Christian Bass were ring bearers.
    The groom’s father and Stephen Fields were best men.
    Groomsmen were William Travis Allen, James Scott Bass, Marcus Stephen Bass, George Blais, Christopher Jason Byrd, Michael Freeman and Michael Walker.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Hillside Gatherings. Jennelle Hembree was wedding director. Kimberly Minor attended the bride’s book.
    The couple honeymooned at Adventure Spa Palace Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. They reside in Auburn.
    A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held Oct. 7 at Hillside Gatherings.
    A bridal luncheon was held at the home of hostess Betty Brown, co-hosted by Ashley Williams and Allyson Brown.
    The couple was honored with several prenuptial events, including:
    Cason, Holt exchange vows
    Michelle Lynne Cason of Cullman and Steven Michael Holt of Falkville were wed Sept. 18, 2005, at 2 p.m. at the Falkville home of the groom’s grandfather, Jimmy Little, with Charles Sinyard officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Rick and Doris Cason of Cullman. The groom is the son of Steven W. and Constance Holt of Falkville.
    The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Her bouquet of lavender and baby blue roses was arranged by May Sparkman of Decatur.
    Brandy Miller of Cullman was matron of honor.
    Bridal attendants were Diana Holt of Falkville, sister of the groom, Ashley King of West Point, cousin of the groom, Leah Clemons of Massey, and Krystal Cason of Cold Springs, sister of the bride. They carried lavender and baby blue roses.
    Mackensie Artis of Union Grove was flower girl. Dawson Riley Miller of Falkville, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.
    Miniature bride was Brittany Skinner of Falkville, cousin of the groom, and miniature groom was Matthew Skinner of Falkville, cousin of the groom.
    The groom’s father was best man.
    Groomsmen were Alexander Holt of Falkville, brother of the groom, Ricky Cason of Cold Springs, brother of the bride, Roger Schucker of Florence, and Vincent Fuller of Decatur. Ushers were Johnny Cobb, Brandon McNeal, cousin of the groom, and Scott Ponder, all of Falkville, and Wesley Skinner of West Point.
    Music was provided by Jonathon Davis and Stephanie Brock.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held onsite.
    Susie Clairday of Falkville was wedding director. Diana Holt, Leah Clemons, Crystal Cason, Ashley King and Danielle Pierce assisted with the reception.
    Danielle Pierce of Hartselle, cousin of the groom, attended the bride’s book.
    The couple honeymooned in St. Louis, Mo. They reside in Ft. Benning, Ga.
    A rehearsal party was held Sept. 17 at the home of host Jimmy Little with Susie Clairday as hostess.
    A bridal shower was held Sept. 10 at Dodge City Town Hall hosted by the bride’s family and church friends.
    Garrone, Harper exchange vows
    Patricia Elaine Garrone and Michael Scott Harper, both of Mobile, were wed Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church with Bobby Williams officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Pete and Sandra Garrone of Mobile. The groom is the son of Keith and Sharon Harper of Hartselle.
    The church and altar were decorated with fall flowers featuring white and purple irises, red and white roses, yellow poms and white daisies.
    The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
    Angela Garrone of Mobile was matron of honor.
    Bridal attendants were Kiley Biggs of Andalusia, Karrie Abel of Mobile, Dorothy Holt of Cookeville, Tenn., and Kristen Davis of Mobile.
    They wore candy apple red gowns.
    Lauren Garrone of Mobile and Sennia Harper of Hartselle were flower girls. Sam Garrone of Mobile was ring bearer.
    The groom’s father was best man.
    Chris Harper of Birmingham, Kevin Harper of Hartselle, Derek Harper of Birmingham, and Pete Garrone Jr. of Mobile were groomsmen.
    Music was provided by Jerome Ward of Hartselle, Denise Davis of Mobile and Wes Hopper of Boston.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Our Savior Catholic Church.
    Eran Groh of Pensacola, Fla. and Mandy Anderson of Birmingham attended the bride’s book.
    The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia. They reside in Mobile.
    A rehearsal party hosted by the groom’s parents was held at Wintzell’s Oyster House in Mobile.
    A bridal luncheon hosted by Angela Garrone was held at the home of Anna Marie Butler of Mobile.
    Williams, Brown exchange vows
    Lauren Elizabeth Williams and John Wesley Brown, both of Headland, were wed Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at 6 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church of Headland with the Rev. Stan Sanford of Dothan officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Richard Alan and Ellen Vice Williams of Cowarts. The groom is the son of Joseph Earl and Kim Brown of Headland and Jimmy and Glenda Money of Columbia.
    The church windows featured hurricane globes encircled by garlands of claret roses and greenery. The altar was decorated with a candelabra, greenery and white bows.
    The bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, wore a full-length Victorian gown of imported silk designed with a strapless bodice and dropped waist embellished with silver embroidery and rhinestones. The full skirt with silver beading and rhinestone accents on the pull-up rouching flowed into a chapel length train.
    Her fingertip veil was edged in silver embroidery with rhinestone accents. She carried a bouquet of long-stemmed white roses.
    Jessica Marie Reagan of Aurora, Colo. was maid of honor.
    Bridal attendants were Julie Ann Terrell of North Augusta, S.C., cousin of the bride, and Kathy Jo Holland of Newton, sister of the groom. They wore full-length strapless gowns of claret with front inset panels of gold accented with rhinestone buttons and carried bouquets of long-stemmed claret red roses.
    Hannah Elizabeth Williams of Dothan, cousin of the bride, Elizabeth Holland and Allison Holland of Dothan, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. They wore white satin dresses with claret red sashes.
    Mason Williams of Dothan, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
    The groom’s father was best man.
    Groomsmen were Todd Friedman and Jason Harris, both of Headland.
    Ushers were Graham Vice of Hartselle, Mason Williams of Dothan, and Aaron Bailey of Slocom.
    Graham Vice and Nathan Vice of Hartselle, cousins of the bride, were candle lighters.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
    The bride’s table, covered by a white lace cloth with a gathered skirt and draped with claret tulle, featured a three-tier cake decorated with live claret roses and mixed flowers.
    The groom’s table was decked with greenery and centered by a chocolate cake topped with chocolate-dipped roses.
    Wedding director was Jackie Adkins of Grimes. Those assisting with the reception were Janet Terrell of North Augusta, S.C., Ann Sanders of Hartselle, and Chelsey Friedman of Headland.
    Amelia Holland of Newton and Jamie Bailey of Slocom attended the bride’s book and were bubble girls.
    The couple honeymooned in Orlando, Fla. They reside in Headland.
    A rehearsal party was held at the church hosted by the groom’s mother. A bridal luncheon was held Sept. 30 at Mildred’s Tea Room in Dothan hosted by Mary Vice of Hartselle, grandmother of the bride.
    The couple was honored with several prenuptial events, including:
