Pinewood Derby

Christopher Bartholomew won third place, best of show at the Arrowhead District Pinewood Derby held recently at Colonial Mall. He had earned the right to participate in the derby by winning their individual pack competitions.
Contestants in the derby were judged on speed and best of show, which is based on appearance. Bartholomew’s car looked like a yellow pencil and was named “Get the lead out!” Bartholomew, who lives in Hartselle, is a member of Pack 132 in Decatur. He is a third grader at Crestline Elementary School.
