Matthew Price Greene, Sr.

A memorial service for Matthew Price Greene Sr. was Fri., July 16, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Hartselle.
Mr. Greene was born June 21, 1971, in Scottsboro. His family moved to Hartselle later that year. He was a 1989 graduate of Hartselle High School and attended Auburn University and the University of North Alabama. He became a photographer, then a photojournalist for various news media, his favorite being WHNT-TV 19 in Huntsville. He covered numerous important news and sports events in his career. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his camera work with WBMG-TV 42 in Birmingham. He enjoyed flying RC airplanes and playing computer games with his sons and was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Hartselle.
He is survived by two sons, Matthew Price Greene Jr. and Wilson Watkins Greene; his parents, Lee Youngblood Greene Sr. and Glenda Goodwin Greene; a brother, Lee Youngblood Greene Jr. Matt was married to Kimberly Watkins Greene of Florence.
