Holmes survives Sparkman Park contest

Hartselle Parks and Recreation hosted its inaugural Sparkman Park Survivor competition.

Thirteen contestants competed for a famliy season pool pass on May 27 from 7 p.m. until  7 a.m. in Sparkman Park. One player was eliminated every hour until there was one lone survivor.

Contestants were:  Clay “”Pooh Bear” Carter, Jennifer Lett, Jacob Wray, Matther Roberson, Jerri “Hotdog” Hyatt, Holly Roberson, Tommy Wayand, Heather Baxter, Peri Stanley, Tony Johnson, PJ Henry, Maranda Kent, and Jason Holmes.

Holmes outlasted all contestants and took the prize.  They competed in several games through out the night and ended with a swim across Hartselle Pool at 7 a.m.  Currently, the city is making plans for next year’s survivor competetion.
