Habitat plans application class
Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County will have an application class on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 5:30 p.m. at the Turner–Surles Community Resource Center at 702 Sycamore St. NW in Decatur. The class is for people interested in applying for the Habitat program.
Habitat builds homes for low-income families, and then sells them to the families for the cost of construction. There is no interest on any loan and Habitat makes no profit from the sales. House costs generally range from $50,000 to $65,000. Sponsors provide cash and volunteer laborers to lower building costs.
Anyone interested in applying should call the Habitat Office at 256-340-9609 to pre-qualify.
