ASWA announces All-State baseball teams

Six area players were named to the Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State baseball teams announced Saturday.

Hartselle pitcher Elliott Bray was named to the 6A First Team. The junior, who is committed to Auburn, led the Tigers to the 6A state championship series. He finished with a 7-3 record and a 1.26 ERA.

Priceville first baseman Mason Mann was named to the 4A First Team. He led the Bulldogs with a .495 average and 55 hits.

Falkville’s infielder Wyatt Tomlin and outfielder Caden Burnett were named to the 2A First Team, while catcher Peyton Sallee and pitcher Colton Hopper were named to the Second Team. Tomlin hit .454 with 40 RBI, while Burnett hit .458 with 54 hits. Sallee hit .435 with six home runs and 45 RBI, while Hooper was 7-0 with a 2.02 ERA.

Danville’s Dylan Parker was named to the 3A second team as an outfielder.
