    By Staff
    Jones, Sumter exchange vows
Traci Bridjette Jones and Gregory Keith Sumter, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C., were wed Sept. 20, 2003, at 7 p.m. at Point Mallard Parkway Church of Christ in Decatur.
Bro. George A. Gee officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy James Jones of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Clarence Sumter of Charleston, S.C.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The bride chose a formal designer gown of silk satin. The strapless creation was fashioned at the rise of the bust with an applique of beaded silk Guipure lace. A similar lace embellishment emphasized the deep Basque waistline. The full ball gown skirt fell from large inverted, boxed pleats and swept into a semi-cathedral length train.
Her royal cathedral veil of imported silk organza was scattered with Swarovski crystals and featured a scalloped border accentuated with a platinum hand-rolled thread. It was held by a bridal tiara of pearls and rhinestones.
    Her bouquet featured cream roses.

Music was provided by Sound Systems Technicians, Craig Stevens of Huntsville and Brice Tapscott of Hartselle.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Burning Tree Country Club.
The bride's table was adorned by a floor length lace table cloth with hand sewn crystal accent trim and featured a silver and cream wedding cake designed by Charlotte Stevens. Magnolia blossoms, cream colored rose petals and candles in crystal holders completed the display.
The groom's table featured a champagne colored cake decorated with musical notes. The table was completed by strawberries, white and purple grapes, and lit candles.
Etcetera by Ross and Burning Tree Country Club assisted with the reception.
Reception Master of Ceremonies was Alabama A&M University Department of Music Director Dr. Horace R. Carney, featuring Omni-Music Trio plus One jazz band of Birmingham.
