Soccer teams close out 2025 seasons
For the Enquirer
Hartselle High School’s soccer teams wrapped up the 2025 season with strong records and playoff appearances.
The boys’ team entered its final Class 6A, Area 13 match against Cullman on a three-game win streak. A victory would have tied them for first in the area and possibly secured a third straight area title, depending on tie-breakers. Instead, the Tigers fell 2-1 and finished second.
Hartselle (13-7-2) traveled to Southside for the first round of the playoffs, where they lost 4-0. The team graduates six seniors but expects contributions from rising junior varsity players in 2026.
The Lady Tigers won the Area 13 title with a 5-1 record, their only loss coming in a 3-2 match against Cullman on April 17. They hosted Fort Payne in the first round of the playoffs but were defeated 4-1.
The girls finished the season 17-5-1 and will return most of their roster, losing only three seniors.
Both teams made the postseason and are looking ahead to 2026 with experienced cores and developing talent.
